What seems like a pretty standard hoody from 4SDesigns is actually a masterclass in Angelo Urrutia’s re-imagination of classics through elevated design.
Inspired by trompe-l’œil techniques, it pairs a crewneck with a sewn-in hood to give the optical illusion of double-layering. It also hides a kangaroo pocket within, further adding to the artistic trickery.
Urrutia added a drawcord to the waist allowing you to cinch it up, something he did himself as a young kid. The heather grey French terry jersey is emblazoned with the 4S birds graphic from this season. The artwork is applied by hand, using an oversized stencil to spray each individual sweater — Angelo’s homage to the NYC’s affinity for stencil art.
