adidas & Grace Wales Bonner continue to expand their world through collaboration with another collection. Drawing from the same African roots which have inspired her previous collections, Bonner revisits classic silhouettes which she knows well. Distinctly drawing from the culture of Burkina Faso in West Africa, the collection continues her research into music and photography from the 1970s and 80s.
Compared with the chrome Samba which this shares a drop with, the nubuck leather in muted tones of this pair are relatively subdued. The softness allows the elegance of the Samba silhouette to speak for itself, showing why the renewed interest in this model is nothing if not inevitable.
