In geometry, a secant is a line that intersects a curve at a minimum of two distinct points. How does this apply to a pair of Arc'teryx Veilance pants though? Dunno, these do have two distinct fabrics though.

The lightweight double-weave nylon is treated with a DWR coating to help with water-resistance – supported by fully taped seam construction. A heavier single weave nylon is strategically placed to increase durability in high-wear areas. Both fabrics feature a nice amount of elastane to create a comfortable wearing experience. A double-helping of pockets allows you to stash important goods in the zippered thigh pockets.
