The throwback basketball looks of the Asics EX89 get a re-work thanks to Japanese fashion label Needles. For those familiar, vintage workwear and eccentric detailing are at the core of Needles design philosophy.
Working on a simple silhouette like the EX89 allows Needles to pack in the details whilst maintaining a wearable aesthetic. Leather uppers feature triple-needle stitching along all major panels and the iconic ASICS stripes. This contrast stitch along with eyelets and other details are finished in Needles' signature shade of purple.
