Asics' archival icon Gel-Lyte III gets a premium makeover with a bit of added character.
With uppers made of premium leather, the toebox features a radiant perforation pattern. The coloured overlays are made with a rich waxy leather which start to age and show a fine patina with plenty of wear. To help this along, the panels have a subtle distress finish to them.
The distressed effect continues across the upper, laces and even the GEL cushioned midsole. This gives a well-worn look without needing to spend 12 months breaking them in, only for the sole to wear-through just as they look perfect.
