Although inspired by the fleeces which populate military surplus stores, this insulating layer from BEAMS Plus is unlikely to ever see a battlefield. This is a 'boa' fleece, which refers to the type of fleece—a synthetic alternative—compared with natural sheepskin. Comparatively lighter and cheaper, the synthetic fleece also avoids the whole 'wearing an animal's skin' element for those averse to it.
A neat inclusion is the hand pockets, which is something we think more crewnecks should feature.
