A new collaborative design from CAYL and New Balance draws on the 1906R’s roots as a high-end performance runner, by way of an off-road detour. The model’s standard open-knit mesh and synthetic overlay construction is swapped out for a translucent knit mesh and no-sew TPU overlays. This innovative material application combines a streamlined, modern visual with functional influences drawn from trail styles. Two colorways, Floating Blue and Golden Fire Yellow, are inspired by the surface of water and falling leaves, respectively, further emphasizing the shoe’s seamless transition from city to nature.
