It's fair to say we've seen our fair share of Nike Dunks in the last few years. From pigeons to pandas, Travis Scott and LeBron. It feels like the Dunk has been everywhere and done everything. What you see before your eyes though, is Nike royalty.
This 'Veneer' colourway is a re-issue from a range of Japanese-exclusive (co.jp) releases – sneakers credited with kickstarting the first Dunk craze. Given the current madness of the sneaker reselling market it's hard to convey this in relatable terms, but they became something of a mythical creature to the older heads.
