Released in 2008, the ASICS GEL-1130 hit the market as a step towards the flagship Kayano 14 of the time.
Using GEL cushioning in the heel and a breathable mesh upper the GEL-1130 provided many of the benefits of the Kayano at a more approachable price point.
Almost two decades later, the simpler lines of the GEL-1130 form a solid base to build a clean everyday sneaker from. A classic mesh upper with suede overlays gives this 2000s runner a more lifestyle-appropriate finish, allowing more casual wear.
