For anyone old enough, uttering the words 'Air Moc' brings back memories of one of Nike's most bizarre and iconic shoes. The original Air Moc is said to have been inspired by a baked potato, which probably doesn't make any sense unless you know what they look like in the first place. In reality the design came about from a functional standpoint and they just so happened to resemble a potato, but the legend remains.
The original 'chuck them on' concept of the OG Air Moc lives on through products like this interpretation from the Nike ACG team. Thanks to a foam sole and stretchy upper these are decidedly more practical and comfortable than the OGs. With everyone going mad for laceless shoes at the moment, honour one of the original shoes to blaze a trail in the market.
