When you see yellow and midnight blue on a Nike silhouette it's hard to think of anything other than Michigan University. The famed combination – donned by their basketball team – was immortalised by the Dunk High created as part of Nike's 'Be True to Your School' pack in 1985.
Nike applies that very same palette to a women's-exclusive Air Max 1 for a limited release that doesn't skimp on the details. There's more different materials than colours, with a smooth leather base overlaid with croc-effect panels and snakeskin textured swoosh with a classic nylon tongue just like the original Dunks.
