Anyone who's been around long enough will instantly recognise this colourway from an 2004 Air Max 90 release. Originally designed by Dave Ortiz—founder and purveyor of Dave's Quality Meats—the AM90 'Bacon' was a watershed moment in sneaker history. Whilst we'd seen plenty of special release sneakers before, there was something about the oddball combination of red and pink over the beige and brown base which struck a chord. At a time when getting sneakers required more dedication but involved far less competition, the DQM '90s were a must-have.
Revisited by Nike this time on the Dunk silhouette, an iconic Air Max colourway meets one of the cornerstones of the sneaker industry with the Dunk Low. The same colours and materials are retained and transplanted from the '90s runner onto the courtside classic.
