Grace Wales Bonner returns for another season working with adidas for a collection inspired by Afro-Caribbean culture. Footwear sees the two bringing new colours and material combinations to the Samba—a model which Wales Bonner has helped cement in the cultural zeitgeist.
Nylon and suede uppers evoke the slim running silhouettes which dominated the 1970s casual movement. From SL72 to Country and more, the styles from this era permeated many of the world's counter-culture movements. The silhouette and gum outsole are typical of this era of indoor shoes, whilst the Wales Bonner signature blanket stitch and colour palette complete things.
