Released in 2013, the Salomon XT-6 was designed as a trail shoe for athletes competing in ultra-distance races. The foam midsole with full-length Agile Chassis System (ACS) gives superior cushioning & support whilst breathable mesh uppers are made more durable with a welded TPU film. The incredible performance stats probably don't mean much to any of us as these are unlikely to see much aside from a light shower and some dust as you step off the footpath.
It's unusual to see an XT-6 blocked in this manner but it works well. The tonal upper features a strong contrasting tongue in Aurora Red. This hue carries over to the midsole, sitting atop the ACS stability control plate which gets its own colour allowing this oft-overlooked piece of tech to get the praise it deserves.
