adidas hands over the keys to the Superstar—one of the most iconic shoes of all time—to CLOT founder and international icon Edison Chen. With decades of experience under his belt, Chen is often credited as being a leading force behind opening China and Hong Kong to the style and culture of youth in America.
Drawing inspiration from classic suiting, Edison supersized the Superstar with plenty of unique details. The uppers are constructed from shiny patent leather in a classic black over white combination—just how a Superstar should be. adidas' signature sawtooth cut edges can be found across all the overlaid panels, interlaced with brogue touches you'd more often see on a pair of dress shoes—not unlike the tassels affixed to the tongue.
The real talking point for many will no-doubt be the maximalist midsole, with a stacked foam construction finished with a deep ripple outsole for ultimate in vertical achievement.
