The partnership between New Balance and Chicago designer Joe Freshgoods opens a new chapter in their ongoing story, this time with the New Balance 990v6 as the protagonist.
As the 990v6 continues to come of age, the contemporary colourways have helped to cement this model as another certified banger from the 990 series. Here Joe Freshgoods takes things in a different direction to what we would expect, finishing the entire shoe in a monochrome 'Prom Blue' palette.
Materials are kept true to the inline 990v6, meaning a sporting mesh is overlaid with quality suede and perforated nubuck accents. This combined with the all-blue colourway gives these an almost-surreal effect, looking like a 3D-printed prototype.
Each pair comes with subtle branding hits on the tongue and heel cap, along with custom box and lace dubrae.
